Pamela Gordon was the first woman and the youngest person to hold the
Premier (Prime Minister) position in Bermuda. At the age of 41, she had already
lived an eventful life, giving birth to a child at the age of 16 and overcoming the
economic obstacles posed by early motherhood by working in a variety of jobs.
Gordon is the daughter of one of the founding fathers of Bermudan politics.
Before becoming First Minister, she was appointed Minister of Youth
Development and later she served as Minister of Environment, Planning and
Recreation.
