Amelia Rubenstein

Amelia Rubenstein is a Council Graduate Fellow in the Office of President Grybauskaitė in Vilnius, Lithuania. A recent graduate of the Columbia University School of Social Work, Amelia has a passionate interest in women’s health and reproductive rights. Through her internship with Planned Parenthood of New York City, she advocated for policies to improve access to quality comprehensive reproductive health care. In addition, Amelia has worked on maternal mortality and gender-based violence with the Women’s Dignity Project in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Before returning for her masters, Amelia was a social worker for a therapeutic foster care agency in Baltimore, Maryland. Amelia graduated summa cum laude from Skidmore College in 2007 where she majored in Social Work.
