Estalyn Marquis is pursuing a dual masters degree in international affairs and journalism at Columbia University in New York. She holds a BA in Chinese and International Studies from Williams College (Highest Honors) and received the Linen Prize in Asian Studies for her work on the intersection of popular media and politics in China.
She is fluent in Mandarin and has worked and studied throughout Mainland China. Prior to her graduate studies, Estalyn joined Teach for America to revitalize the post-Hurricane Katrina school system in her hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana.
