Lena Marie Benson is will soon begin the second year of her Master in Public Policy Program at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government following her summer internship with the Club of Madrid. Benson has lived all over America but considers Greenville, South Carolina her home. She has two bachelors degrees in Political Science and Communication from Wake Forest University and spent two year completing a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in Innsbruck and Vienna, Austria prior to beginning graduate school. Her passion for intercultural communication has enabled her to work directly and indirectly with the UEFA EURO 2008 and the Beijing Olympics. For the past three summers she worked for The Coca-Cola Company in the Worldwide Public Affairs and Communication Department at their headquarters in Atlanta. She is a Public Policy and International Affairs Fellow (PPIA) and looks forward to a future job that focuses on transcending cultural differences via short term projects/exchanges and female political empowerment.
