Rachel Garcia

Rachel Garcia is a Masters of Public Health candidate at the University of Michigan in the Health Behavior and Health Education department. She attended the University of California Santa Barbara for undergrad where she majored in Sociology with a minor in Spanish.Rachel is doing her internship at the Ministry of Public Health in Quito, Ecuador. Her public health interests center on reproductive and maternal child health issues.

After graduating she hopes to return to her home state of California to work within Latino and immigrant communities towards promoting social justice, community capacity building, and reducing health inequities.
