Yordanos Eyoel is a Master in Public Policy Candidate with a concentration in Business and Government Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School. After acquiring her dual-bachelors in Economics and Political Science from the University of Florida in 2007, she served as a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar to Venezuela for six months. Her previous experiences include a diplomatic internship with the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington, DC and a legislative summer placement with the United States Congress.
Eyoel’s primary area of interest lies in the economic empowerment of women in developing countries, as she believes it is the most effective solution to combat poverty. Post-HKS, she plans to establish an all girls’ math and science pilot school in Ethiopia to train the next generation of talented women in areas that are critical to the country’s development.
