 Aspen, Colorado (March 25 - 28, 2009) - The 2009 Aspen Environment Forum, themed "Powering the Planet: Energy for the Long Run," presented discussions on various topics including climate change, energy extraction and use, innovation and technology, efficiency, and conservation led by energy experts, government and business leaders, writers, photographers, and other knowledgeable voices in the field. On the occasion of the Aspen Environment Forum, the Council of Women World Leaders was pleased to convene a high-level panel of women Ministers of the Environment within the framework of the Ministerial Initiative for the Environment. The panel was moderated by Laura Liswood, Secretary General of the Council.
